Golf Course of the Cerf WEDDING – Church of the Holy Family

Chloé & Alexandre's wedding took place at the Golf Parcours du Cerf on the South Shore of Montreal last June. I met the couple at the end of summer 2024 and it clicked with them right away! They are so friendly and cute together, how could you not love them? Plus, we shared our love of cats already during our first Zoom meeting haha! Chloé mentioned to me then how much she had fallen in love with the Sainte-Famille Church in Boucherville, where the ceremony took place. And with good reason! What a magnificent church! So my day began by going to join the lovers on the South Shore of Montreal for their preparations. They were both getting dressed at their respective parents' houses. They were only about ten minutes apart.

All the beautiful floral creations of the day were created by the florist The Grace of Flowers, located in Laval.

It wasn't planned, but the bride did a "first look" with her dad and it was really beautiful to see!

Having chosen her sister as her best man and maid of honor, Chloé invited several friends over for a small lunch just before the ceremony. Being of Lebanese origin, there was a bit of traditional dancing to get into the mood. It was quite festive!

Wedding ceremony at the Church of the Holy Family in Boucherville
I know the Sainte-Famille Church in Boucherville from having photographed several weddings there over the years. It's spectacular! Built in 1801, it's even classified as a heritage building! I love its interior as much as the exterior. It's crazy all the little details it contains: there's even an organ! The light that comes in is super beautiful and it makes for beautiful photos because it's very bright! Alexandre was feverishly waiting for his beautiful Chloé. She had told him that he absolutely had to cry haha!

I love a bride and groom dip at the end of the ceremony! This can be halfway down the aisle or just before the exit.

Right after the group photo, we invited the bride and groom's parents for family photos on the side of the imposing building. Adoring the church, the bride and groom also wanted to take some of their couple photos there. Since the lovers didn't have a large procession, we had more time for their photos together. We stayed around the church for about twenty minutes, I think, before heading to the Parcours du Cerf in Longueuil.

I must admit that I always find it fun to go for a ride in a cart! My assistant drives, so I can easily spot beautiful spots so we can stop for a few minutes and take pictures. Plus, Chloé and Alexandre are naturals in front of the camera, it was also a real joy to photograph their chemistry! They met in high school and apparently Alexandre noticed the beautiful Chloé quite young. It took him a long time before he was able to approach her. And now, they are one of the cutest couples whose big day I have had the chance to immortalize! They are also so kind, funny, intelligent and empathetic!

Wedding reception at the Golf Course du Cerf
Friends and family were invited in the evening for a full party. There was traditional Arabic dancing at the beginning of the entrance to the room. This allowed me to photograph many beautiful moments with the guests. They were so happy to be there to witness the lovers' wedding. The room at the Golf Parcours du Cerf is very bright and large. This allowed for majestic, very chic centerpieces. And what about the many flowers, especially around the bride and groom's table? They all came from the florist The Grace of Flowers downstream.

The evening went by in a flash! Everyone was festive, and the speeches were each more touching than the last! We also played the table game. This involves placing the bride and groom on the dance floor and calling each table one after the other to come and stand around them and take a picture or two! This can be fun depending on the mood of the guests. It encourages people to be creative and stand out as well!

Notice the bride's dress change? She slipped out after the first dance to change into a less heavy and imposing gown, so she could enjoy the dance floor!

I will always remember that moment when we cut the cake. Miguel, my boyfriend, was also filming that day. So we were alone with the bride and groom for the cutting and they offered us their pieces. I thought it was so kind and thoughtful! We couldn't believe it! Chloe then told me a few weeks later, that if they had known the photos would come out so well, they would have had a bigger cake haha!

In short, everything was perfect that day. We loved everything: from the kindness of the bride and groom to the pleasure of spending time with their friends and family!
