Mouton Village Wedding in Montérégie – MC + S

It was at Mouton Village in St-Charles-sur-Richelieu that Simon and Marie-Claude said I DO last fall. While the beautiful colors of the leaves were at their peak. Even though it rained all day, I couldn't have asked for a better last wedding of the high season. Why? First of all, because the bride and groom made my job so easy despite the rainy weather. A job, I tell you? Well, not really... because I had so much fun spending time with them all day.
So I started by going to join them at the Hotel Rive Gauche, in Beloeil, where everyone was getting ready. I love photos during the preparations but it goes by so quickly at the same time. Here, the advantage of everyone getting dressed in the same place was to be able to alternate between rooms without wasting time.

Marie-Claude's magnificent dress came from White Space of Whites located in Beloeil and its superb bouquet of Carte Blanche Florist located in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu.

For Marie-Claude and Simon, their wedding was a family affair! They were surrounded by their three children throughout the preparations. Let's admit that they make beautiful children, huh?

Ceremony at Mouton Village in Montérégie
A week before their big day, the lovers celebrated their fifteenth anniversary as a couple! What could be better than celebrating their love in style surrounded by all the people they love? The ceremony, led by one of their good friends, was funny and moving. The groom shed a little tear when his sweetheart arrived. And then, I have rarely seen such a funny celebrant! He should make a career out of it! The bride and groom's vows also moved me. I remember Simon saying that the meaning of their marriage was even more important now than it would have been at the beginning.

That wedding ceremony was anything but boring. Proof: the photo at the top where the newlyweds are walking at the end of the ceremony. They were acting as if the guests were still there! Even though they'd practically all run off to the reception hall when the officiant announced that a cocktail reception was waiting for them! It has to be said that Marie-Claude and Simon are both very funny. One is the biggest fan of the other's pranks. So even though it's a bit more complicated to take couple photos in the rain (managing umbrellas, dresses, and movement), I had a lot of fun with them; they made things easy for me!

Reception at the Lys Hall in Mouton Village
I had heard about Mouton Village for years and it was my very first time going there that day. I was really looking forward to seeing this rustic place. I had especially heard good things about the food and the kindness of the employees. I was not disappointed, quite the contrary. The room was decorated by The Little Festivities then the stationery (table numbers, the room plan and the welcome poster created by Marie-Eve de Stationery and Confetti.

The evening, led by David Lavallée and accompanied by DJ Charley de Master D Productions , was perfect from A to Z. There was a lot of singing (from the guests), entertainment and dancing. I couldn't have asked for a better last wedding. Everything was great! The bride and groom, their guests, the venue, the chosen suppliers. I really had a great day!
Also, I remember one moment in the evening when the bride and I were talking. She was telling me how happy she was that David the host had referred me. And I told her afterwards that it was mutual and that I was so happy that they had chosen me. A perfect match!
And finally, the fact that it was raining made the colors of the trees come out even more beautiful in photos. So who says that rain ruins a day? Not me! Nor the bride and groom, I'm sure!
