At Mouton Village – The Wedding of Ariane and Pascal

Wedding photographer at Mouton Village South Shore-01

It was at Mouton Village in St-Charles-sur-Richelieu, in the Montérégie region, that Ariane and Pascal said "I do." Autumn had begun in earnest during that long Thanksgiving weekend, and the beautiful colours had arrived! And the weather was just perfect! During my meeting with the bride, she mentioned that the couple didn't want any photos taken during the preparations. The bride and groom preferred that I stay longer in the evening. With my friend DJ FrankI knew it would be quite an evening and that the party would get going quickly. And it certainly did, and what a wedding reception it was! Truly memorable, and now that the year is over, I can say it was one of my favorites of 2025! So, I went to meet the groom before the outdoor ceremony at Mouton Village. He was waiting for me with his ten groomsmen, haha!

Let's be honest, ten guys plus a groom together, I don't always know what to expect. They might not listen at all, talk non-stop and have a serious attention deficit, or they might be the complete opposite. And often, we have very little time... I at least need them to be in the right light and for them all to fit into my "frame," haha. But that day, they were all impeccable, all super smiley and happier than ever to be there to celebrate the couple's union! And above all, to be among the lucky "chosen" ones.

Wedding ceremony at Mouton Village, outdoors

The time chosen for the outdoor ceremony at Mouton Village couldn't have been more perfect for that day. Everything took place in the shade while the sun shone brightly in the sky. The emotion of all the guests was palpable as the bride walked down the aisle on her father-in-law's arm. To the strains of Elvis's "Can't Help Falling in Love," the bride's eyes welled up with tears, and everyone got choked up!

Officiated by Ariane's mother, the ceremony was personalized and beautiful. It was also very touching, especially when the bride and groom's daughter spoke at the front. And then, when the couple exchanged their vows, it was simply beautiful and moving! Even I, who barely knew them, felt like crying. I could see they were meant for each other.

Ariane and Pascal, a couple since 2013 after a boozy night out with mutual friends, are a beautiful couple. They share the same energy, their eyes sparkle, and they complement each other perfectly. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say they've found each other!

Several months before the wedding, Ariane shared an idea she'd seen in a video. It was a very simple video of a bride and groom, filmed in slow motion and surrounded by their wedding party. The bride lit a cigar for her new husband, all while being incredibly serious. We recreated the essence of the video, but in an improved version, in my opinion! To see the result, go to my Instagram profile, You'll find the video easily!

Wedding reception at Mouton Village with DJ Frank!

I always reserve a little time before the guests arrive to photograph the reception hall. The details that have been carefully considered for months are important to capture in photos. So, I took advantage of the cocktail hour to take pictures of the decorations in the Salle Du Lys at Mouton Village while everyone was still outside, enjoying the mild weather.

The bride and groom made a spectacular entrance to the music of Dr. Dre's "The Next Episode." The tone was set for an electrifying and anything but dull evening! Having often worked with DJ Frank at weddings over the years, I was thrilled to see him again that day! We learned during a conversation several months before Ariane and Pascal's wedding that we would be working together on their big day. I often recommend him when people ask for DJ recommendations, but in this case, he had been referred by the venue itself. The couple enlisted his expertise to celebrate their special day with them.

Country Club of Montreal – Wedding in Montérégie

Wedding at the Country Club of Montreal in Saint-Lambert

Camille and Bruno's wedding took place at the Country Club of Montreal last September. One of my favorite couples of 2024! With the wedding season recently over, I finally have some time to revisit my recent work. And it made me want to make a post on this blog with their wedding photos.

The lovers met at the University and have been a couple since 2019. They are perfect for each other: happy, in a good mood, true lovers full of attention and listening to others. It was a pleasure for me to be with them on one of the most important days of their lives! So they got ready separately with their procession, in joy and excitement. Even though the day was forecast to be rainy. Special mention here to Bruno's beautiful outfit which came from Suitable and Camille's magnificent dress taken at NüStyle Workshop, they were so chic!

Ceremony at the Country Club of Montreal

The lovers wanted a ceremony that reflected their image. It was only natural for them to ask Bruno's dad to be the celebrant. The touching ceremony was punctuated with bursts of laughter.

Once the ceremony was over, the bride and groom then noticed, just like me, that nails were falling outside! It was terrible! Since it started raining when I arrived at the girls' prep school, I was kind of expecting it, but not as bad. While Bruno was thinking about taking the couple photos another time, Camille (being a good sport) didn't care and insisted on going outside with my umbrellas! Rain is a shame sometimes, but that day it really wasn't a big deal! And then, it's just a matter of being well organized, with groomsmen and a good assistant to coordinate with the umbrellas (a kind of ballet/choreography that we did at the end). We had a lot of fun. It always helps to have beautiful natural smiles!

Festive evening reception at the Montreal Country Club

The evening consisted of several speeches, the shoe game, a photo booth where guests could send each other photos to their emails and dancing of course! The speeches were more moving than the last. I especially remember the one from the groom's brother who ended his speech by saying: "Camille, I hope you have as much fun "growing old" with my brother as I had "growing up" with him!" It really got to me to hear him say those words!

Little anecdote here: While the dance floor was heating up under the feet of the guests, I was standing on a chair trying to capture the action. Camille came next to me, handed me her glass of water and asked me: are you thirsty? I told her no… then she insisted by telling me: go on DRINK! hahaha I will always remember this moment. A big heart on 2 legs! Finally, the evening ended well for me with a nice little cupcake from Les Glaceurs! A perfect day in my eyes, with an ideal bride and groom!

Mouton Village Wedding in Montérégie – MC + S

        Rainy wedding at Mouton Village

It was at Mouton Village in St-Charles-sur-Richelieu that Simon and Marie-Claude said I DO last fall. While the beautiful colors of the leaves were at their peak. Even though it rained all day, I couldn't have asked for a better last wedding of the high season. Why? First of all, because the bride and groom made my job so easy despite the rainy weather. A job, I tell you? Well, not really... because I had so much fun spending time with them all day.

So I started by going to join them at the Hotel Rive Gauche, in Beloeil, where everyone was getting ready. I love photos during the preparations but it goes by so quickly at the same time. Here, the advantage of everyone getting dressed in the same place was to be able to alternate between rooms without wasting time.

Marie-Claude's magnificent dress came from White Space of Whites located in Beloeil and its superb bouquet of Carte Blanche Florist located in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu.

For Marie-Claude and Simon, their wedding was a family affair! They were surrounded by their three children throughout the preparations. Let's admit that they make beautiful children, huh?

Ceremony at Mouton Village in Montérégie

A week before their big day, the lovers celebrated their fifteenth anniversary as a couple! What could be better than celebrating their love in style surrounded by all the people they love? The ceremony, led by one of their good friends, was funny and moving. The groom shed a little tear when his sweetheart arrived. And then, I have rarely seen such a funny celebrant! He should make a career out of it! The bride and groom's vows also moved me. I remember Simon saying that the meaning of their marriage was even more important now than it would have been at the beginning.

That wedding ceremony was anything but boring. Proof: the photo at the top where the newlyweds are walking at the end of the ceremony. They were acting as if the guests were still there! Even though they'd practically all run off to the reception hall when the officiant announced that a cocktail reception was waiting for them! It has to be said that Marie-Claude and Simon are both very funny. One is the biggest fan of the other's pranks. So even though it's a bit more complicated to take couple photos in the rain (managing umbrellas, dresses, and movement), I had a lot of fun with them; they made things easy for me!

I had heard about Mouton Village for years and it was my very first time going there that day. I was really looking forward to seeing this rustic place. I had especially heard good things about the food and the kindness of the employees. I was not disappointed, quite the contrary. The room was decorated by The Little Festivities then the stationery (table numbers, the room plan and the welcome poster created by Marie-Eve de Stationery and Confetti.

David Lavallée from Master D to Mouton Village

The evening, led by David Lavallée and accompanied by DJ Charley de Master D Productions , was perfect from A to Z. There was a lot of singing (from the guests), entertainment and dancing. I couldn't have asked for a better last wedding. Everything was great! The bride and groom, their guests, the venue, the chosen suppliers. I really had a great day!

Also, I remember one moment in the evening when the bride and I were talking. She was telling me how happy she was that David the host had referred me. And I told her afterwards that it was mutual and that I was so happy that they had chosen me. A perfect match!

And finally, the fact that it was raining made the colors of the trees come out even more beautiful in photos. So who says that rain ruins a day? Not me! Nor the bride and groom, I'm sure!

Wedding photographer in Bergeries de l'Acadie

It was last August, at the Bergeries de l'Acadie that Vincent and Valérie were finally able to unite. A couple since 2007, they were eager to be reunited with all those they love. While their wedding initially planned for 2020 was postponed due to a certain pandemic… The day had been long awaited by them and it finally took place! Valérie's precious dress was even purchased in 2019 at the Mariclod Shop. So she was really looking forward to wearing it! So I started the photos by going to meet Vincent and his groomsmen at the Courtyard by Marriott in Brossard for their preparations. The day was expected to be cloudy but the weather girl was wrong because it was sunny a few hours later! And then really very hot haha!

          A Pinterest-inspired wedding

It was when I arrived at Valérie's bridesmaid's house, where the girls were getting ready, that I understood what the bride meant when she mentioned that the decor of the house was very "Pinterest". In fact, Valérie's wedding was very "Pinterest" itself. It must be said that the bride also looked at this site a lot for inspiration and she had been ready for this big day for a long time! I experienced many "Firsts" with her that day. Including a "first look" with her bridesmaids once she was in her dress. I had the idea to improvise this moment: I wanted to immortalize the expression of her best friends when they saw her as a "bride" for the first time. A "first look" also with her parents when they came to join her before leaving for the ceremony at Bergeries de l'Acadie.

Outdoor ceremony at the Acadian Sheepfolds

Valérie and Vincent had expressed to me the wish to see each other before the ceremony, without really seeing each other! So I had the idea that they meet at a corner of the main building to do what we called a "first touch". They just wanted to reassure each other, to tell each other that it was going to go well and that they loved each other. All while keeping the surprise for Vincent of his sweetheart who would walk down the aisle of the ceremony. And it worked, he was moved to see her arrive among all their guests!

I must admit that when I arrived in the main room, I was super impressed by the beautiful decoration! Since it was done entirely by the bride with the help of her mother and the bridesmaids. Everything was personalized, it was unique. The table numbers personifying a number that had been important in the lovers' lives. The little story of each date described at the bottom of the frames. Finally, even the napkins were embroidered by Valérie's mother!

Wedding on Navark Island in Boucherville: V + BP

            Sunset at Navark Island

Valérie and BP's magnificent wedding on Navark Island took place in early summer 2018. It's the kind of wedding you're still thinking about the next day, and even two days later. The kind where you feel lucky to have been there. A wedding filled with emotion, touching, and sincere. A wedding that celebrates the love of two wonderful people. A couple as kind as can be, generous, and beautiful! I started the day by joining the guys at the Hôtel de Mortagne in Boucherville. BP was getting ready there with his groomsmen and his two sons. A festive atmosphere was already in the air, which promised to be a great start to the day. Once the guys' prep photos were finished, I went to see Valérie, who was getting her hair and makeup done at home with her bridesmaids. I like to mix up the bride and groom's preparations when I write a blog post or printed books. It doesn't have to be chronological, in my opinion.

First look of the newlyweds before heading to Navark Island

I loved the First Look we did in Old Boucherville. I went to scout the day before the wedding. Bruno-Pierre would be waiting for Valérie on a street corner and I didn't want him to be in direct sunlight. I looked for a beautiful background and nice locations for the couple and procession photos. Let's face it, a group of 18 people is not easy, we had to find places that could "contain" them all.

And what a "First Look" it was! I had tears in my eyes it was so touching! But I had pictures to take and I stayed focused haha! It was super important for the bride and groom that their children were there. And even more touching to see their oldest, Justin, burst into tears at the sight of his mother! I think it was the most beautiful first look I have ever attended! I could hear the bridesmaids crying, behind the bride! And for Valérie, it was one of her favorite moments of the day!

Ceremony and reception on Navark Island

The couple wanted to get married in the same place where they danced their first slow dance together! It was in 2006, on Navark Island in Boucherville. The ceremony, officiated by BP's father, Pierre Marcotte, took place outdoors on site. It was funny, touching, and perfect. The wedding ceremony continued with a cocktail reception where the signature drink was the mojito! I had plenty of time to photograph the magnificent decorations. The flowers were arranged by one of the bridesmaids, France. It was MAGNIFICENT! The evening continued in a festive atmosphere with several moving testimonials from the wedding party and the groom's parents!
