Wedding photographer in La Bullerie, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac
Sophie and Graham got married at La Bullerie in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. They're celebrating their second wedding anniversary today! Which made me realize I'd never taken the time to write a post about their beautiful day. I have to say, summer and fall are my busiest times, with weddings practically every week. And writing a blog post takes time, even if it doesn't seem like it, haha. So, I started the day by visiting the newlyweds that Saturday in July in Verdun. There was a tea ceremony and a tribute to the elders, in keeping with Chinese tradition. It's a symbolic ritual of unity and respect, honoring elders by serving them tea.
Here, Graham arrived with his dad and saw the bride in traditional Chinese dress for the very first time. I loved his expression of euphoria!
Many of the bride and groom's friends were waiting on the sidewalk, as the apartment could not accommodate everyone.
Before Sophie changed into her white dress for the afternoon ceremony at La Bullerie, we took advantage of the fact that their wedding party was there, taking some photos in the street and around the couple's apartment in Verdun.
Graham's very fine suit came from Blandin DelloyeI loved the color and how well it fit her like a glove.

The wedding ceremony at La Bullerie
The weather was windy, but fortunately, the ceremony was under the marquee at La Bullerie. With the open ends, the air circulated well. But it was still windy inside, so that says it all. The magnificent bouquet was created by Catherine de Floralina Floral Art The bride was waiting in the reception hall at La Bullerie when we arrived. All the floral arrangements were the work of her expert hands, and I must say I was in love with her creations! The ceremony was a union of the two families, with the young flower girls leading the way and the groom's uncle officiating. And so, surrounded by many friends, the couple said "I do."
The couple's vows were so touching. When they're emotional during the ceremony, my eyes always well up with tears. But I stay focused so I don't miss a thing.
The light was perfect that day for the newlyweds' photos. It started to cloud over towards the end of the ceremony, creating a slightly softer, more diffused light. And what can I say about the enchanting setting of La Bullerie vineyard? It's simply stunning!
We took the procession photos just in time, before a storm broke. It was short-lived, but fortunately, everything is in place at La Bullerie to keep you dry.
Every time I photograph a wedding at La Bullerie, I always think to myself that it takes very little decoration to make the venue beautiful. But on that day, it was enhanced by the magnificent floral arrangements, including the ceremony arch repurposed to highlight the bride and groom's table.

But on this particular day, it was truly stunning thanks to the magnificent floral arrangements, including the ceremony arch repurposed to highlight the bride and groom's table. The evening, wonderfully festive, flew by. A country band played, interspersed with speeches, games, and of course, the first dance. La Bullerie also offers catering services, and the food has never disappointed me—quite the opposite! The staff is friendly, and everyone is always treated with the utmost care.
I love expressive brides and grooms!
After the first dance, the bride went to change into a shorter dress, probably more comfortable for dancing... especially with espadrilles!

At the same time, calm and excitement reigned a little more in the girls' cabin. I only saw them all together towards the very end when they emerged from their rooms haha. 
And yes, the guys were jumping like in the "Wizard of Oz" hahaha!
