StoneHaven the Manor – Wedding – J+M
J & M's wedding took place last May at the majestic StoneHaven le Manoir, nestled in the Laurentian Mountains in Ste-Agathe. I had long wanted to photograph a wedding at this location, which has been part of Relais & Châteaux of Canada since 2021.

I met the couple several years ago when they hired me to immortalize M's first pregnancy and the first days of their eldest daughter. I then saw them again for two more sessions when they had their youngest daughter. We laughed so much at each session, quickly realizing that we had the same sense of humor. So it was only natural that M contacted me in advance to find out my availability, even before booking StoneHaven Manor!
The couple wanted to keep the event private, so they agreed to let me publish photos where no one could be recognized. When I have this request (it happens very occasionally), I respect the bride and groom's decision. I understand that they want to keep it to themselves, but at the same time, it makes my heart sink. I already knew that the day would be superb...! So I started with the groom's preparations and then went to join the bride at their home. And then, hop, to the church for the ceremony!

M's very beautiful dress, partially in lace, was taken from the boutique Dream It Yourself.

Wedding reception at StoneHaven Manor
Once the ceremony in Ville St-Laurent was over, it was off to StoneHaven le Manoir in Sainte-Agathe. The ceremony was scheduled for early in the afternoon to allow enough travel time to get to the Laurentians. There, the couple/family photos could be taken at the Manoir. The planning of the day, the styling, and the floral design were masterfully handled by Myriam and her team. Myriades & Co.

Built at the beginning of the 2th century, the Manor is full of history and Quebec heritage. There are so many small details in every place you walk. From the back terrace, you can see a splendid view of the Laurentian Mountains and Lac des Sables. The magnificent reception hall or ballroom was enhanced by Myriades & Co, in addition to all the original woodwork and stained glass windows. The bride and groom had nothing to worry about being in such good hands and the entire day went perfectly.

Speaking of well-chosen suppliers, the reception was masterfully led by Robert Applyrs of

At the same time, calm and excitement reigned a little more in the girls' cabin. I only saw them all together towards the very end when they emerged from their rooms haha.
And yes, the guys were jumping like in the "Wizard of Oz" hahaha!
