Wedding Photographer in the Laurentians – A + C

Aurélie and Julien-Carl's Laurentian wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Beautiful and elegant, it was also funny and moving at times. They said "I do" last July in front of family and friends. When I met with the couple a few months before the big day, almost everything was already well planned. They got ready in separate chalets at the Fiddler Lake Resort in Morin-Heights. The chalets were large, with several bedrooms, which was perfect for them and their wedding party, since they arrived the day before.
So I went to see the guys first. They were getting dressed less than five minutes from the bride's chalet. Julien-Carl surrounded himself with his two brothers and his three best friends for this big day. And I have to admit, it was one of the times I laughed the most in my life, during the preparations. Their great camaraderie was evident; it was one funny thing after another. They were as comfortable with each other as they were in front of my camera! I could have added many more photos of them to this post, but some photos are less "publishable" than others on the internet, haha!

The beautiful flowers come from At Miss Lili's Boutique which is located in St-Jérôme as well as in Saint-Sauveur.

At the same time, calm and excitement reigned a little more in the girls' cabin. I only saw them all together towards the very end when they emerged from their rooms haha.
And yes, the guys were jumping like in the "Wizard of Oz" hahaha!

Wedding ceremony in the Laurentians, at Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard Church
The bride and groom absolutely wanted to have their ceremony in a church and they chose one that had a lot of history. Built over a century ago, it was at the Saint-Adolphe-D'Howard Church that they said I DO. The priest was particularly happy to be able to celebrate their union because ceremonies are being held less and less in churches, let's be honest. But I love architecture! And religious ceremonies give me the opportunity to discover lots of superb heritage buildings all over Quebec.

Reception at Golf Balmoral
Once we arrived at Golf Balmoral for the reception, we immediately started taking family photos. Since the bride and groom wanted to enjoy the cocktail party and take pictures with their guests, we didn't have time to waste haha. We also took a few pictures with the wedding party and then headed to the golf karts. They were waiting for us for a nice ride on the huge grounds. When we got back from the photos of the lovers, we even ran into Robert Charlebois who said a nice hello to the newlyweds!

I love photographing weddings in the Laurentians. The trees are so beautiful and the mountains so impressive!

I really liked the reception room with its large windows. The decoration was simple and very beautiful. The evening's entertainment was promising with one of the groomsmen who was at the microphone.

Since we weren't staying for dinner, the bride and her father's first dance followed the first toast of the evening. Then the newlyweds had their first dance, and it was time for me to leave—a day that had gone by far too quickly!
