Auberge de la Montagne Coupée – MP + T Wedding

It was at the Auberge de la Montagne Coupée in Saint-Jean-de-Matha that Marie-Pier and Tommy chose to say "I do" last August. Many loved ones, family, and friends were there to witness this long-awaited day! After several years together—and two boys later—they were united on a beautiful, warm summer day. They chose each other again by exchanging touching and heartfelt vows. I started the day by joining them at the inn, in the two chalets they had reserved for the weekend. The chalets being side-by-side made it very convenient to avoid unnecessary travel.

You can't really see what's on the guys' boxers in the photo above. But Tommy had boxers made for each of the groomsmen with his face on them. It was really funny when they put them on, and yes, they gave me permission to publish the photo!

Throughout the day, the bridesmaids would start singing the same song to relax and make Marie-Pier laugh. And then me too, because I couldn't stop laughing.

Marie-Pier's MAGNIFICENT dress was taken at Vézina Creations in Laval. She kept it a surprise for her guests by changing her outfit in the evening. She chose a lighter dress from the Mariclod Boutique, Located in St-Lin in the Laurentians. Discover her dress change at the bottom of the post!

The bride was determined to take a quick 5 minutes before the ceremony for a "first look" with her father. A moment that is always filled with emotion!

Outdoor ceremony at the Auberge de la Montagne Coupée
When the bride arrived on the immense terrace, with its breathtaking view of St-Jean-de-Matha and its stunning landscapes, the groom could only have eyes for her. Tommy was moved to tears, and Marie-Pier was also holding back her emotions, so longed for and dreamed of was this moment.

Marie-Pier wore the perfect dress for the ceremony. It had a veil that hung from the straps of her dress. The wind, quite strong in the mountains, gave the veil a truly beautiful effect.

What a breathtaking view! I've rarely had the pleasure of seeing a wedding in such a beautiful setting. I remember at the beginning of the ceremony, when I arrived next to the groom, we were looking at the mountains together, moved by such magnificent beauty. And Tommy said to me, "This is something else, isn't it?" Wow, yes!

The bride and groom performed the ritual of giving a red rose to their mothers to thank them for everything they had done for them throughout their lives.

The most emotional moment of the ceremony was undoubtedly the release of the butterflies, in memory of loved ones who had passed away. Everyone was crying!

Under the watchful eye of Maryse Noël de Maryse CreationEverything went as planned. Being a regular at "big" weddings and at the Auberge de la Montagne Coupée, she came to take a look from the balcony to make sure everything was on schedule.

A "Room Reveal" at the Auberge de la Montagne Coupée
Decorated by the talented Maryse and the florist Walter Guiet of W Floral designThe Mimosa room at the top of the Auberge was magnificent! With its large windows overlooking the surrounding mountains, it offered a 180-degree view. The room is perched on one of the highest natural viewpoints, amidst centuries-old trees. The black, white, and gold decor complemented the centerpieces featuring long calla lilies. Everything was thoughtfully designed by the experienced decorator.

A wedding reception hosted by Robert Applyrs
I had high expectations for Marie-Pier and Tommy's wedding at the Auberge de la Montagne Coupée. I'd wanted to go there for a long time, and I wasn't disappointed. When the bride first contacted me by phone to book her photos and videos, she asked for recommendations for an MC and DJ. I then recommended Robert from The Applyrs XperienceSomeone I often recommend and with whom I always have wonderful evenings! He's festive, professional, relaxed, funny, and gives it his all. Accompanied by his faithful collaborator, DJ Kamistry, they make a dynamic duo! The evening flew by with various activities, games, and speeches. Everyone was having a great time and happy to celebrate with the newlyweds.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the reception venue to see the photos I'd taken during the couple's engagement shoot. I could almost call it a shock, the photos were so large, I think they were 4 by 8 feet. They set the tone for the evening. Several guests were impressed and mentioned them to me during the reception.

My boyfriend, who was filming the event, and I had the pleasure of staying very late into the evening, right up until the bouquet toss and the garter toss. I held back a little when it came to the garter photos, Tommy was really going for it haha!
