Wedding at the Fairmont Château Montebello: F + J Wedding

It was at the Fairmont Château Montebello in the Outaouais region that F & J said "I do" at the end of summer 2021! After completely changing their plans due to the pandemic, they discovered my work through a recommendation from a hotel in Mont-Tremblant, where they were originally supposed to get married a few months earlier in May. In fact, when they had to postpone the wedding, one of the first things they checked was my availability for September! All the couples who adapted and persevered with their plans during the pandemic deserve my respect. It's not easy to manage all that stress and uncertainty when planning a wedding. The couple kindly gave me permission to publish a few selected photos, as they valued their privacy. So here's a little glimpse of their day.

To start the day, J's magnificent dress from Vézina Creations. It was hanging, on the window, in her room. When the bride and groom are getting ready at the same hotel, I almost always start my days by photographing the accessories in the bride's room. Then I go to the groom's room and photograph his preparation. I have to say that with the guys, it was not boring at all! They were immediately comfortable in our company and we had a lot of fun, my assistant and I, in their presence.

Outdoor ceremony at the Fairmont Château Montebello
The beautiful and touching wedding ceremony took place facing the Ottawa River, again at the Fairmont Château Montebello. The magnificent floral arrangements by Sage Design completed the decoration. For a few moments, I thought I was on the edge of the Pacific in California haha!

Marquee reception at the Fairmont Château Montebello
When the couple first visited the Fairmont Château Montebello, the marquee was empty. No curtains, no tables were there. The bride and groom wanted a chic, inviting and classy place. When they saw the final decoration, they were charmed and very happy with it! In particular, the centerpieces were breathtaking! With flowers that looked like they had been freshly picked that very morning! And what about the two trees on each side of the bride and groom's table? In fact, I would have taken them home with me!
