I recommend to contact me as soon as you know the date for your wedding and the location for the reception. This can be a year and a half in advance or you can take a chance and contact me just a few months before your wedding in case I am still free. I sometimes have 10 requests for the same date and only one request for the following week, and this, without knowing the variation. So even if you think you are too last minute, take a chance! But at the same time, unfortunately I cannot multiply, so first come first served. Good to know: June to October are always very popular every year!
Wow! That's great! We haven't met yet? Let's schedule an appointment to talk about your big day, the services I offer and create a contract together! The best way to secure your date is to make a deposit. Don't have time for a meeting right away? You can make the deposit via Interac or bank transfer and I will make a contract that I will email to you. How do we meet later? Via Zoom or at my place, in person, if you prefer.
I always work with an assistant. This person is very helpful throughout the day. I am, however, the only one who takes pictures. The assistant is there to make our lives easier and to make me VERY efficient! This person will run to get your forgotten bouquet from a location, will reposition your train over and over again if the wind decides to play along and the assistant will help me create perfect lighting to show you off (often by holding a reflector). In my opinion, the assistant is essential.
I have recently started offering wedding video services! My boyfriend (who's the videographer) is often the one who assists me during weddings and he knows the "requirements" of the bride and groom very well haha! He likes to film emotional moments and offers a short video version of 6 to 8 minutes and a longer one of 10 to 12 minutes. Otherwise, if the style isn't to your taste, I get along very well with other videographers (especially if they are nice and smiling). I can always refer you to some if you ask me.
Often, the future brides and grooms think they need 2 photographers for this reason: one photographer for the groom's preparation and the other for THE bride's preparation. What do I recommend, since I'm the only one taking pictures? I start a little earlier by going to the groom's house. I stay with him for about an hour and then I go to the bride's house to get ready. Why the groom first? Because he has to get to the ceremony venue earlier anyway and he has to greet the guests. So I don't miss anything important. Would you like to have pictures of your long train walking to the church? I can take a picture of you from the front in the aisle and move quite quickly behind you, in order to take a picture of you from behind. This way, we can see your future husband's expression at the same time!
Yes absolutely! With your high resolution files, you will be able to print the photos you want, in the desired quantity and in the location of your choice. I always recommend having enlargements done! A wedding is a life event, it deserves to be framed. If you want a better print quality and a longer life for your photos, I will be happy to take care of it for you because I deal with a professional laboratory.
I remain the sole owner of the copyright of the photos to the extent that you cannot modify the photos or participate in competitions without my consent. You will, of course, be able to use your photos on the social networks of your choice.
It's okay to be excited to see your wedding photographs and want to relive your dream day in photos. You wonder how long the wait will be? About two to three weeks after the big day. I put myself in your shoes and I would be as excited as you to see them! The time it takes me to edit the good photos, one by one, for contrast, brightness and transformation into black and white. All this takes days because there are several hundred photos to edit per wedding. Why 3-4 weeks? Because I also sometimes have 2 weddings on the same weekend. For real? Yes! There are people who get married on Fridays or Sundays and sometimes during the week. Otherwise, as soon as the photos are ready, I send them to you. It can take less time than expected and you have a nice surprise all of a sudden!
